Mysterious Boys

The male gaze is something truly fascinating in art history and has always been an act of depicting the model in a desirable and oppressive way. This series aims to subvert that power the artist has over their subject, and reintroduce the model as lifeless and mysterious. I used photo references found on Instagram and manipulated the images to create my own narrative.
